If you’re looking to expand your cocktail know-how, why not branch out a bit?

We’ve compiled a list of 23 amazing libations, including our favorite Fernet-Branca recipes, all of which are sure to impress. Fernet About It

Ingredients:

  • 6 parts Fernet-Branca
  • 3 parts Jamaican rum
  • 17 ¾ parts simple syrup
  • 4 ½ parts fresh lemon juice
  • 3 parts lime juice
  • ¾ dash lemon bitters
  • 6 parts water

How to make it:

Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and stir well. Pour liquid into a freezer bag and freeze for at least four hours (or until frozen). When ready to serve, remove bag from freezer and massage until it’s a slushy consistency. Pour into four coupe glasses. Garnish with a lemon twist.

The Bartender’s Handshake

Ingredients:

  • 1 part Fernet-Branca
  • 1 part liqueur made from sour Marasca cherries
  • 1 part green chartreuse
  • 1 part lime juice

How to make it:

Combine all ingredients with ice and shake vigorously. Strain and serve straight up with a lime twist.

Cider Mixer

Ingredients:

  • ¼ part Fernet-Branca
  • 1 ½ parts dark rum
  • 1 part cider
  • ¾ part lemon juice
  • ½ part agave syrup
  • 2 rosemary stalks

How to make it:

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into an old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a rosemary stalk and lemon slice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 part Fernet-Branca
  • 1 part green chartreuse
  • 1 part lime juice
  • 1 part simple syrup

How to make it:

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a lime slice.

Little Helper

Ingredients:

  • 1 part Fernet-Branca
  • 1 part vodka
  • 1 part peppermint schnapps
  • 1 part milk
  • 3 parts Cola
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

How to make it:

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until liquid. Pour into a cocktail glass and garnish with mint.

Foam It Up

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts Fernet-Branca
  • 6 parts stout beer or chocolate stout
  • 4 parts Thai coconut milk
  • 2 parts egg white
  • 2 parts simple syrup

How to make it:

You will need an iSi creamer gun and a N2O charger to make the cream. Add all ingredients to your creamer gun and shake it up prior to charging with N2O. Shake thoroughly for a rich, frothy cream.

Champagne Rum and Coke

Ingredients:

  • ½ dash Fernet-Branca
  • 1 part rum
  • ¾-part cola syrup
  • 1 dash bitters
  • 4 parts champagne

How to make it:

Combine rum, cola syrup, Fernet-Branca and bitters in a high ball glass with ice. Stir well, top with champagne, and stir lightly. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Hocus Pocus

Ingredients:

  • ¼ part Fernet-Branca
  • 1 ¾ parts gin
  • ½ part triple sec
  • ½ part sweet vermouth

How to make it:

Put all ingredients in a mixing glass and stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange peel.

Safety Net

Ingredients:

  • ¼ part Fernet-Branca
  • 2 parts rum
  • 1 ½ parts aromatized wine
  • 2 dashes bitters

How to make it:

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker over ice, stir well, and strain into a cocktail glass.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ parts pink apéritif flavored with bitters
  • ½ part gin

How to make it:

Forgetfully, Fernet

Ingredients:

  • 1 part Fernet-Branca (as float)
  • 1 ½ parts Irish whiskey
  • 1 part lemon juice
  • 1 part ginger (grated)
  • ½ part simple syrup
  • 2 cups ice

How to make it:

Combine all ingredients but the Fernet-Branca into a blender and blend on high for 30 seconds. Pour into a coupe glass and fill with Fernet-Branca. Garnish with mint.

Iced Coffee Fernet-Branca

Ingredients:

  • ¾ part Fernet-Branca
  • 2 parts cold-brew coffee
  • 1 ½ parts elderflower liqueur
  • 4 parts tonic

How to make it:

Put all the ingredients except the tonic in a collins glass, add ice, and stir well. Top with tonic and garnish with a lemon twist.

Revival No. 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 dash Fernet-Branca
  • 1 ½ parts gin
  • ½ part lemon juice
  • ½ part simple syrup
  • 4 dashes pear brandy
  • Sparkling white wine

How to make it:

Add all ingredients except the sparkling white wine to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into a Collins glass filled with ice. Top with chilled prosecco and garnish with a lemon slice.

A Grand Adventure

Ingredients:

  • ½ part Fernet-Branca
  • 2 parts bourbon
  • ¾ part orange-flavored, cognac-based liqueur
  • ½ part maraschino liqueur
  • 2 dashes orange bitters

How to make it:

How to make it:

Benton Park Swizzle

Ingredients:

  • ½ part Fernet-Branca (as a float)
  • 2 parts gold rum
  • 2 sugar cubes
  • ¾ part lime juice
  • 8–10 mint leaves

How to make it:

Smash the mint and sugar together, then add the rum and lime juice. Shake and strain into a collins glass with ice. Add a Fernet-Branca floater and garnish with mint.

  • ¾ part Fernet-Branca
  • 2 parts rum
  • ½ part simple syrup

How to make it:
